Now in Nanjing

Last saturday we arrived in Nanjing where we'll be studying for the next three weeks! I like it a lot more here in comparison to Beijing, almost every single street is tree-lined with huge green trees. We're based at Nanjing University in the Xi Yuan Hotel, which is also known as the International Dorm. The University is pretty, and not very big. The weather so far has been very humid, Nanjing is said to be the 2nd most humid city in all of China. It's been raining on and off the past few days which is common in the summer here, but unfortunately only makes the humidity even worse...
below is a picture of one of the streets in Nanjing, and the view from our dorm room window

We began classes yesterday and they're fun so far! We have a Chinese language class along with a Chinese Culture class. The language class is split up into two parts, speaking and reading/writing. Our teachers are super sweet and fun, I think I'm really going to learn a lot!
